Redman born Virginia 1811 My notes say that this particular Moses moved to OH,Shelby-Co in 1832 which was before John RANDOLPH died & freed his slaves. I don't know if the following are the people you are looking for but another Ohio possibility to consider is a Moses REDMAN with son Andrew REDMAN n=30 May 1813 VA d=11 Apr 1889 buried=1889/04/14 OH,Columbus,Green-Lawn-Cemetery,section#27,lot#150. I only have dates for the son. For the Moses example that Art gave, I can add that his wife Rebecca d=15 Jun 1849 & was buried in OH,Shelby-Co,Redman-Cemetery. source: 1975 "Memorial Records - OH,Shelby-Co" colored cemeteries: Redman-Cemetery - Probably abandoned before 1900) this cemetery served the early colored settlers of the once thriving community of OH,Shelby-Co,VanBuren-Twp,Rumley. It is located approximately 1/2 mile south-west of the intersection of Amsterdam & Staley roads. About 1935, 8 inscriptions were recorded. In 1975 virtually nothing remained of the cemetery.
