Just a reminder... today I entered FREE as a Surname and then FREE as a Given name at Ancestry. I entered the County of my ancestors as a Keyword.

I got so many FREES I couldn't believe it!

Entry Examples:

* (Free Negro) Perry

* Free Will ---
... then,if there is a chance that it could be your relative, you just check the image to find out if it is logical. If so, check the names of all the people around them and of course check who is living with them.

Or it could really be a White named WILL FREE

* DINAH free negro

* POLLY free family

I have tried this at Heritage Quest but forgot to do it at Ancestry.
