Could have been, if the tribe was also in the Orange County area. I have not been able to trace my great great grandmother place of birth for sure. I don't know if she was born into the family that enslaved her. She was a dark skinned woman with jet black straight hair. My hair color is jet black like hers was (not brown--black!) and her eyes like mine were black. She is supposed to have some Native ancestry, but I have not been able to find it/prove it. however her/my straight black hair and eyes had to have come from somewhere !
