Petition for the emancipation of Frank Hogg
John Hogg, petitions ex parte—
This Petitions coming are to be heard and the evidence offered by the Petitioner, It is ordered adjudged and decreed, according to the petitions and prayer of the petitioner, that the mulatto man Frank mentioned in the said petition by and he is hereby emancipated from the state of slavery, and let him with all the rights and privileges of free people of Colour in the State of North Carolina and that the said Frank be hereafter known and called by the name of Frank Hogg.
