WOW, This thread has opened my eyes to the possiblility of a Y-DNA connection. My grandfather born ca 1852 in the VA/NC area to a white man/black woman realtionship is perhaps somewhere in the Sellers line mentioned in the article found at http://www.ulips.org/clemens.html My father's family migrated from the VA/NC area to Greencastle,IN and my father left home at an early age settling in Greenville, OH, Darke Co., OH ca 1910. There were inter-racial Sellers families in this area (Darke, Warren & Paulding counties) during this period. Far-fetched, but nevertheless a possibilty. My closet Y-DNA matches from the FTDNA databases are: 37 Marker Matches (1)
67 Marker Matches (1)
I guess it is now time for me to contact these two individuals and search out the possible connections. Art Thomas
