Hi Art, The research on your part Native American ancestors is very impressive. I like the way you skillfully combined the various record groups to take the line further and further back. You may want to look into a possible Monacan linkage for you native ancestor, since they may have still been in the area when the French Huguenots came to that location. I see that some Quaker surnames (Pleasants and Cox ) show a connection with the Laforce family. Along with Laforce, these families lived in Monacan territory but along Tuckahoe Creek and Lickinghole Creek on the north side of the River James above the falls. You may have already considered this, but it might help to check out the Quaker records for this area and see if La force’s name comes up. (Henshaw etc.). Messages In This Thread
