Paul, thanks for this. Your post gives me an idea, for the first time, of where to direct my search for Cullen Manley in North Carolina. The first written reference I have of his last name is Manly, without the e, and the fact his first name was common in this area is most interesting. Living in Boston, I know Cullen as an Irish surname, not a first name.
