Linda, The Indians who lived in the Indian town of Appamattox were called "Appamattox Indians", by the whites. When they moved to the Blackfoot Swamp, they became Blackfoot Indians. I am not aware of a single English surname among this group. They are found along the VA-NC border generally west of the Roanoke Rapids fall line. Nick
