I haven't worked much on my Simpson line yet. I believe that my ancestor Ellen Simpson, listed as mulatto was born about 1830. She married first Robert Owen Buckingham, 2nd William Lancaster.

I haven't determined who her father and mother were.

I wouldn't doubt that our families are connected in some way.
