Simpson and Goes in PA
In Response To: Re: Dickens/Dickins/Deacons - Simpson in PA ()
Diane, I would be interested on you have found out about the Simpson / Goe connection in Fayette or surrounding counties I have also corresponded with Linda Threadgill regarding SIMPSONs. My SIMPSON ancesters where all light skinned and variously listed as mulatto or white. I am stuck at Gilbert SIMPSON, although I suspect his father may either be Edward (Ned) Simpson or a Thomas Simspon (b 1789)(who in 1840 census is listed as Free Coloured living with a white woman). Any information you have on Simpsons or Goes would be appreciated ! Thanks
Gilbert SIMPSON (b. 1814) - Married Ann UNKNOWN
