Tiff,

I have corresponded with both Carol and Linda Threadgil regarding SIMPSONs. My SIMPSON ancesters where all light skinned and variously listed as mulatto or white.

I am stuck at Gilbert SIMPSON, although I suspect his father may either be Edward (Ned) Simpson or a Thomas Simspon (b 1789)(who in 1840 census is listed as Free Coloured living with a white woman).
