I am seeking information on the Lewis family in Louisville, KY Jefferson County. I know absolutely nothing other than their daughter was born to a free family in 1831 and her name was Mary Louise Lewis. Mary eventually married a young up and coming African American leader of the AME Chruch, John Mifflin Brown. Brown became the 11th Bishop of the AME Church.
