I remember looking into trying to learn more about Marguerita before her having children by Joseph Gregoire Guillory and found out it might take some time. I think clues to her origins might be found through Joseph Gregoire's wife since Marguerita was apart of her estate. It seems that Marguerita was in the service of Gregoire sometime in the 1740s if the manimission of Marguerita written by him was correct. It might be a little challenging. And as far as ancestry, I am proud to be a descendent of such a woman..but at the same time, Joseph Gregoire Guillory is as much as our ancestor as is Marguerita. I wouldnt exist without either one.
