Has anyone uncovered any information about the origins of Marguertie? In my opinion, she is the founder of our family, not Joseph-Greogrie. It is with her that our unique place in American society and history begins. It is amazing to me that she had the ability to use the courts to free herself and her family. This shows that as a people we have always found ways to sustain ourselves.We have flourished and prospered in at times very hostile environments. Remember the struggle and hardships that our ancestors endured. Our existence is their reward.
