Re: Miguel Papillon " That's name don't wear it ou

Michel (Miguel) Pampalon/Papillon

Michel (Miguel) (pere) Pampalon/Papillon born Abt. 1744-1750 was from Avoyelles Parish.

His first wife was Marie Joffrion.

Miguel Pampalon - of Avoyelles; son of Santiago Pampalon and Maria Genoveva Legris; Maria Jofrion - daughter of Joseph Jofrion and Maria Juana Ravalais. Married January 12, 1797.

The Joffrion family was another well known creole Avoyelles Parish family. A lot of them married into the LaCour family, another well-know Avoyelles family.

My Great-Grandmother was Magdelen Papillon, born May 27, 1888. She was the daughter of Jean (pere) Baptist Papillon, born Abt. 1848-1852 and Fran├žois Allain, born Abt. 1852.

Magdelen Papillon married my Great-Grandfather, Ulixes LeBlanc, born July 8, 1879.

Ulixes LeBlanc was the Grandson of Charlotte LeBlanc, born Abt. 1827.

My LeBlanc family was from Avoyelles Parish, according to the 1850 and 1860 census.
