A couple of years ago I posted a message that I had transcribed the Halifax County North Carolina Free Negro Register 1847-1857. One of the Afrigeneas family looking for the link in my original message has brought to my attention that the link is no longer valid, and asked for a new link. With all of the moves on the USGENWEB pages, the Halifax Co. records have been moved, and here is the link to the page with both the Free Negro Register (which, I guess to be what they thought was PC, the title was changed to "Free Persons of Colour Register") and Apprenticeships, and Other Entries 1847-1865, along with some other Halifax County records.
