Re: Manumission Records Logan Co., OH 1834-1857

Thank You, Art!

I must admit that I have not done very much in depth research on the Stewarts.
The Stewart Family we have been researching were "late comers". They did not arrive in Ohio from Virginia until the late 1840's.

John Stewart b. 1795 VA
Virginia Loggins b. 1799 VA
(Liggins?)

Franklin b. 1834 VA
Constatine b. 1837 VA
Samuel b. 1837 VA
Catherine b. 1840 VA
Priscilla b. 1843 VA
Parthenia b. 1845 VA
Henry b. 1847 Ohio

In 1850, the family was in Highland County, Ohio. By 1860, John was gone (dead?). Virginia and the younger children were living in Clinton County. I wondered if any of the children had moved up to Logan County before many moved to the Weaver Settlement in Grant County, Indiana.

Are you familiar with any of these folks?

Judy
