Thanks for the info Art. Yes, Soloman and his brother David originally purchased land in Stark Co., OH directly from the federal government in 1823. Interestingly I did find them registered in Southampton Co., VA that same year. I will check the lead in Stark, Co. as they probably had to register there in order to purchase the land. I did look through the Turpin transcription and found what you found. I guess the key is Stark Co!

That Jeffery Day has always been on my mind but I have not had a chance to follow the lead yet. Thanks again for your insight!
