My name is Ginger and I live in Allegheny County, I am still fairly new, but am willing to help in any way I can. I have been put on the right road by some forum members, and would like to respond in kind. I work at my "other computer" more, so email me at email@example.com This will also give me so practice at foot research. I am planning a trip to Alabama in June, and I'm sure the practice will come in handy.
: Hi AfriGeneas Friends,
: My FPOC ancestors from Pennsylvania carried the surname PANGBURN.
: They were located in Elizabeth and Jefferson Townships,
: Allegheny County, as far back as the 1830 Census, starting with
: Moses PANGBURN. Subsequent Census records reveal that his wife's
: name was Margaret, and in 1830, they had one child, Diana.
: Diana's siblings, by 1850 were Elijah, born around 1830; James
: (my great grandfather), born around 1832; Moses, born around
: 1834; Marcus, born around 1837; Alexander, born around 1840;
: Dorcas, born around 1842; John, born around 1845; and Elizabeth,
: born around 1849.
: Through the use of the SSDI, I have found a living third cousin,
: once removed because she left a message at that site. It was a
: great thrill and we are getting to know each other a little.
: Unfortunately, neither of us lives in PA. I don't know when I'll
: be able to go there to search court records, etc. If you have
: any suggestions or resources to help me with my distance
: searching, I will appreciate any assistance you can give.
: Thank you very much.
