I am researching my gg grandfather Tisdale Taylor. Tisdale is recorded as a free person of color in the 1840 US Census for Springfield, Mercer County, PA. He's also recorded in the 1850 US Census for Wolfcreek, Mercer County, PA, with his wife Adeline and their children Hannah, Anna, Henry, Thomas and George. Tisdale was born in Pennsylvania in about 1815, and Adeline was born in PA in about 1822. Sometime after 1854 they went to Canada, where they're recorded in census records until his death in 1883, and Adeline in 1910. I want to learn more about Tisdale and Adeline's life in PA. Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated.
