Ruth Parker is said to be from Paris, VA.
I am aware of Parkers from Fayette Co, but no one seems to be Amanda's Parkers. Of course, Elizabeth, Amanda's mother, is the only one I find with Amanda. I will take another look.
I realize Pennsylvania was freedom for escaping slaves... and freedom too for freed slaves who must leave Virginia...but Greene County, PA, seemed to be 'the place to go' for many. Far enough to be free and close enough to visit one's own family and the the family that kept them. Thanks Linda.
