I have been trying for several years to convince Tony that I am not related to him because the bloodline runs from my father's brother's wife. Tony, in fun (I think) teased me about this because I was familiar with most of the Andrum; Truman; and Johns families, he is related to in the Washington and Allegheny county areas. So, in jest, I would reply that indeed I was his cousin.

Then, my words came back to haunt me. On my maternal side, there are the Hargrave and Betts family's from Sussex County, VA. Recently I located Archie Hargrave, son of Carey Sykes Hargrave, with Minnie Bell Hargrave, his wife, who had lived for a short time in Washington, PA. Minnie, born in Ohio, is related to the Truman/Johns/Andkrum family of Tony Burroughs, and I told him this in Sandusky, Ohio.

In this life, called genealogy, there's a word one should not forget, it is: "Never." I rest my case!
