She is actually a descendant of one of the Craven Co. "free black" families that you researched. Godett was her maiden name. This makes her Native American appearance even more interesting, since there is no mention of Native American intermixture in this family. Of course the Native American ancestry could have come primarily from her other lines. Her other surnames that I know of are Barrett and Parker.
