Wright & Turpin in MD, PA, CT, NJ, NY

Nelson H. Turpin (c. 1815-1880+), an AME minister from Maryland, was a mobile and energetic pastor who also was active in politics as a supporter of Republican presidential candidate Ulysses S. Grant. Rev. Turpin's wife, Amanda, apparently is a daughter of lawyer Charles Wright and wife Sarah Wright of MD. Elizabeth Turpin, a daughter of Nelson & Amanda Turpin, was born in Canada, 1862.
