JUST FOR CONSIDERATION:
While searching for my paternal families in Nelson County, VA, I came upon these two surnames: Hilton and Strange which if of any linkage to me assumably would belong on my mother's branch not my father's. Missouri Vaughan married Albert Hyelon (Hilton) in Nelson County, VA via "Jumping the Broom" in August 1963, on the plantation of Dr. "E or W" Carter (hard to read), but I believe I've submitted this information previously.

For today's review, I bring up the "Strange" surname which appears often with the White and Vaughan families in Nelson County. Patrick Strange married Lavinia Tate per cohabitation records on file in Nelson County, 1853 on the farm (?) of Mrs. Pamela Jacobs. Tate is a familar surname in both Southeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, especially in Belmont and Washington Counties in Ohio, and Allegheny and Washington Counties in Western Pennsylvania.
