I neglected to mention that the woman who wrote to our grandmother sent the letter to her in Farrell, Pennsylvania where we lived. I met my father, Andrew Bruce, for the first time when I was 21 years old and a junior in college. His brother, McKane Bruce, brought him to Farrell to meet me. At that time, Andrew and McKane lived in Philadelphia. Andrew died in Philadelphia in about 1978. At the time of his death, I was teaching in a college of education in Nigeria. Andrew served in World War II, and according to one of our relations may have been valet to General Patton. However, I cannot confirm this. Martha
