We have corresponded previously about William Strange and Christiana Lyons Strange, parents of Robert Strange in Philadelphia. I'd be interested to know if you eventually find direct descendants of this Strange family from Philadelphia. One of my family lines can be traced back to Hannah Strange, daughter of Nelson Strange. Hannah was born most likely in Clarke County, VA; married in Fauquier County, VA; died in Chambersburg, PA. I have traced the families of several VA-born African-Americans with Strange surname in Pennsylvania and Ohio, including individuals apparently descended from Reuben Strange, a former slave who was freed in 1817 in Winchester, Virginia.
