My name is William Thibodeaux. I have read your posts regarding the Walden/Goins family connections with a great deal of intrest. I am descended from one of the many John Chavis's, his wife Rachel Keys Chess and his daughter Nancy Chavis. They migrated to SW Louisiana circa the late 1700's. It is really interesting how the same names reappear in each sucessive generation. I am also amazed as to how mobile they all were. From what I have read in your posts your families are connected to the Chavis family. I am attempting to find more information about my ancestors mentioned above. They represent the end of my research for my maternal line(momma's baby-daddy's maybe).
