"Maria B. HALL, formerly Maria B. ADAMS,
is a bright mulatto woman, about 25 years
old & 4'10" tall. She was raised in the
town of MD,Prince-George's-Co,Piscataway
until she married Nathan D. HALE, her
present husband. She was born free"

Maria's husband was a bright mulatto man,
about 31 or 32 years old ... born
VA,King-George's-Co & resided there until
he reached the age of 18 when he moved to
Maryland where he lived for many years
as a free man. He was born free.
Maria was the daughter of John B. ADAMS
who served in the military during the
American Revolutionary War.
1777-1778 He may have been 1 of 4

of the Maryland Line who were arrested
by the local authorities in NC,Orange-Co
for breaking into someone's house.
They were forcibly rescued by the
