Helen Roundtree in her book on the Virginia Indians has connected Brisbon and Brisby. Brisby being possibly a derivative of Brisbon. If you don't mind giving me your emailing address I will send you a paper I have done on W.H. Brisby and a testimony he made in the 1870s before the Claims Commission.
