Re: Walden/Goins Families in North Carolina
In Response To: Re: Walden/Goins Families in North Carolina ()
Hi Helena, so many branches of my family are intertwined with the Walden Family. My grandparents were third cousins. Their grandfathers, Carney and Ed Walden-Glover were brothers. (Both of these last names were used at different times of their life) These brothers were sons of Elizabeth "Betsy" Walden-Glover. Betsy Glover is believed to be the daughter of Thomas Glover and Martha Walden. Thomas Glover died around 1799 and left everything to Martha Walden and her children. I think about 10 years later John Walden helped the sons of Martha Walden get the land that was left to them. Any information you have on this branch of Walden's would be very helpful. I am looking for the father of Betsy Walden-Glover's children. Also, I am wondering what happened to Martha Walden after Thomas Glover passed.
My gggrandmother was Susan Price, a free woman of color who was found by a river. She had a son named Anderson. I am wondering if one of the Anderson Walden's may have been the father of her children.
