My name is Adolph Leonard Keyes. After reading your genealogy document online I
suspect we may be of the same blood line. My research shows that my family
originated from the Bello blood line, with Martin (son), Gerard (grandson), and
Francios (great-grandson) of Bello. My research shows that Gerard fathered a
daughter, Fidalise in 1849, who married Frank Key in 1869 and gave birth to
sixteen children. The spelling of the name Key has changed over the decades to
Keys and Keyes the way I spell it today.

Further research reveals that the Martin Donato House of Opelousas is somehow
connected to Martin and is now registered as a historic landmark, and I recently
had the chance to view the exterior while attending my maternal family reunion.
I also attended the Keyes/Keys/Key family reunion this past July which hosted by
family members living in Durham, NC.
