Virginia - I don't think there is. However - the 1850 census for Essex is only 82 pages long. It would not take long to transcribe the names of free blacks listed and post them as an Afrigeneas database. I took a peek - there aren't that many listed on the census pages.

That's what I did for Loudoun VA 1850, and am now working on 1860. As soon as I get it finished it will all go up here - not just on my website.
