Re: Jean-Louis & Jean Baptiste
In Response To: Re: Jean-Louis & Jean Baptiste ()
Rodney is very much correct. I too am on the direct line of Jean Bt. Malveaux & Pauline Pitre. Jean Louis who was married to Elizabeth Sam was his brother. You can find them in Rev. Hebert vols. and the 1850 and 1880 census living in different households. Also the courthouse has the succession of Jean Bt. Malveaux & Theotiste Esprit with their children listed. Pierre Richard freed Celeste this document is in the courthouse ( in French ) this is why she won her case and not because of any sympathic judge. The Cadet you are seeing on that court case is in fact Jean Bt. Malveaux. His son Louis goes by the name of Louis Cadet Malveaux ( I have many of his courthouse transaction with him listed as such. ) This is the line where Rodney and I are from.
Ricky P.S. William Charles and Narcisse Charles are not brothers. We are tied in with the Jouberts. Look real close in Afro-Louisana History and Genealogy.
