Re: Geaween/Gowen??
In Response To: Re: Geaween/Gowen?? ()

I hate to say this, but it doesn't look like Geaween either..
I went over it more last night, and though I didn't find any more large looped Es, (See lines 3, 11, and 12, *keep, freedom and overseer*, the second instance of the name does not have the large double those could be Es, or something else..
Then there are the last two letters of the name..My first impression was that I was looking at SE rather than RE, and I did find other instances of words with SE that looked the same..But then I also found words with RE that also looked the same...
I am still working on the page, trying to figure out those last two letters of the name...We may never know for sure WHAT the name actually was, or even what Robinson thought it was..But how does the name connect to the Gowens..Does it? Or is it entirely unconnected?
I am noticing the other two people discussed on the page are Dyer and Sweat, which may neither be here nor there...but both ARE associated with Goins/Goings/Goins...So I can't help thinking this person whose name is escaping us so far was connected with the whole group...
