I am wondering if you found any connection between the Curry and Dillon families with the Longtown settlement? My great great grandfather Stephen Curry, was born in North Carolina in 1812, and lived in Wayne and Hancock counties (he's on the 1850,1860 and 1870 censuses. He married Mary Dillon, who was born in 1812, in Darke County, Ohio. She outlived Stephen and is on the 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses. Stephen's brother, Cornelius Curry, was a Quaker and blacksmith, and in the mid-1870s was Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana's first black jailer and policeman. My email is abpolk@earthlink.net.
