I am looking for any information on families with the last name of Goen/Goens in Longtown Ohio. My grandmother was Pearl Mae Goens(Goins?)she married a man named James Milton. I heard that the Goens were from Longtown Ohio, which was previously known as Darke County.

GOENS I have and MILTON I have and GOENS marrying MILTON I have. James MILTON I have and Pearl May GOENS I have... but I don't have a James MILTON married to a Pearl May GOENS. I have a James R. MILTON, son of William and Sarah SCOTT MILTON, born 06-10-1872 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana. This James MILTON was married to a Mary A. MASON (of the Greenville Settlement in Darke County, Ohio). Could this be your grandparent and a prior or subsequent marriage? I also have a Pearl May GOENS, daughter of Daniel Webster and Sophia MITCHELL GOENS, born 05-05-1872 in Seymour, Jackson County, Indiana. I have not been able to connect this GOENS family to the GOENS family of the Greenville Settlement in Darke County, Ohio. However they do have a Greenville Settlement connection. Daniel Webster GOENS in a subsequent marriage marries a Sarah "Sadie" BASS of the Greenville Settlement BASS family.
