We also know the names of many members of the tribe during the 1700s since they are named in the deeds by which they sold their land in what was Isle of Wight County and became Southampton in 1749:

1735: King Edmunds, James Harrison, Ned, Peter, Robert Scoller, Sam, Wanoke Robin, William Hines, Frank, Wanoke Robin, Jr., Cockarons Tom, and Cockarons Will.

1750: Sam,Frank, Jack Will, John Turner, Wat Bailey, and George Skiper.

1795: John Turner, Celia Rogers (a Nansemond Indian) and Suky Turner.
