Looking for any information about Jacob Dillon, said to have traveled free from the Caribbean to Pike County, MS. All oral history: Said to have owned many 100s of acres of land, was a Freemason, had an elementary school named after him (Dillon school). His mother, Myra and sister, Rachel were slaves in Pike Co., MS. Time period was 1835 to after emancipation. Can't find much information about such a supposedly prosperous free man in MS.
