Where in VA were your family located and what was the time frame? As Paul as indicated, there were FPOC Hunts in Sussex and Southampton Co. I believe they are listed on the Registry of Free Negroes in Sussex Co. There is a Hunt researcher from this area who has a webpage. The Hunt family from this area also migrated to GA and is connected to the Goodwyn family of Dinwiddie and Sussex Co.
