Expert Needed: FREE man named MANNS?

To my knowledge,my g g grandfather was STEPHEN MANNS from Anne Arundel County. His son was Samuel/William /"W.C." Manns in census records.

Please do a search for the 1810 Baltimore census for me.

Please help me determine if this is a FREE MAN named STEPHEN MANNS in Baltimore Maryland, Western Prt. in 1810.

The census page is dark and what confuses me even more is that when I search it comes out as STEPHEN MANRY or STEPHEN MANEY.

However, MANRY or MANEY don't appear to be FREE.

If this is STEPHEN MANNS a FREE MAN living in Baltimore in 1810, with four other FREE, then I am almost sure that must be an uncle/close relative of my g g grandfather's.

For all I know, this STEPHEN in Baltimore could be my g g grandfather!

Another reason I think it is my relative is that two entries up the page you will find a Ben? JOHNSON that is FREE as well.

In Anne Arundel the JOHNSON family and the MANNS family are related and always lived close together.

DINAH MANNS is FREE in 1810 in Arundel and there is a L.MANNS(think that is the right initial) in Baltimore in 1810/20? as well

All opinions are appreciated. :)
