Re: Walden/Goins Families in North Carolina
In Response To: Re: Walden/Goins Families in North Carolina ()
Thank you Paul for the response. My line of the Walden/Glover family is getting very difficult since it appears that many of the families were headed by single females. I am also trying to find Thomas Glover (listed as white) who is attached to Martha Walden before 1790. He died around 1799. However, there is also a Thomas Glover married to an Amy in Northampton County who died around the same time. I have learned from your research as well as a distant Walden cousin that the white Glovers and black Waldens traveled from Northampton to Chatham together. I cannot determine if he is the same person or if there is any relation at all. Of course, Thomas is one of the most common names for Glovers. It has also been very difficult to collaborate with other white Glover descendants. They are not as receptive to the possibility of having a mixed heritage. Any insights will be greatly appreciated. I think it was you who stated this Glover line was "mysterious".
