I'm researching the CARTERs of Warren Co.,NC and one of the things I've found is that they seemed to use different names in the various census records for the same person. Believe, it can get pretty tough in distinguishing between "Hawkins Wiley Carter" and "Hawkins Wesley Carter" when they insisted in just using "Hawkins Carter" in their records, and then in some years just using initials, not to mention that they also had sons with the names of "Wiley" and "Wesley", too. There were at least 2 people in every generation of that family with those names, and they were very large families. One of the things I have noticed though, for the name of "Hezekiah" in NC, sometimes it was abbreviated to "Zykiah, Zeke,Keder, Kader, or Keer" and the name "Eazzear" sounds like a pretty close pronunciation of those names. I wouldn't pay that much attention to the 4 yr. difference if you don't see the name anywhere else(especially since having that short a difference is pretty good, mine sometimes jump 10 -20 yrs, especially in their later years) it is highly likely he is the "Hezekiah" you are looking for.
