I have been reading your postings on the Thomas family. I have copied the African American marriages from the Uniontown Courthouse from the first 20 books. As you are aware, there are several Thomas marriages included in these books and plan to publish them soon. You mention James Todd as your ancestor. I did not interpret Todd to be his surname. It looks more like Todd is his middle name and Thomas is his surname. I determined this by examining all the other entries with middle names as well. Let me know what you think.
