I need help in locating the 1807 inventory of the late Jacques Puech of Orleans Parish. According to the Orleans Parish Library archives index in New Orleans, there was an inventory done of his items in 1807. His widow, Louise Poiter, sold a 13-yr-old slave named Caroline to Francois Pitre Jr. of Opelousas a year later. Caroline was my gggg grandmother. She was later emancipated in the will of Francois in 1820 in Opelousas. She went by the name of Caroline PITRE. She married and had children by another freed slave named Louis Balthazar RIDEAU. Any assistance or help is appreciated.
