Hi Norma,
The Fishback story that I heard was the Jacob? Fishback migrated from VA to PA with 2 brothers who were slaves. There was an argument along the way and the 2 brothers went different directions. When searching the records in Fauquier county I have found the Fishback and Thomas surnames. How the mulatto Thomases fit into this picture, I don't know. But like I said that DNA is 100% European. I did a sublade test and the haplogroup is actually H3. Also my and my mom's admixture test showed no Native American, but East Asian. Her percentage was 15% and mine was 7%. Now I have seen the military draft cards of some of the Thomas men. Some indicated they were Ethiopian and 1 even said he was Syrian. Where are you living? Will you be attending the Thomas Family picnic in PA this month? My mom, aunt and uncle will be there. Have you been in contact with Dennis Lancaster, Donna Hodge or Nina Stith? I am using FTM version 16. I will send you what I have. My email address is lthreadgill@powerc.net.
Linda
