I belong to the same family as you. To date, I have found no Native American connection thru the female line of Louisa. That is purely European. Not only have I done MTDNA testing, my mother and I have done the admixture testing. Hearing the story about the Native American connection is what led me to DNA test.

As for the German, or PA Deutch, the family was from VA. They were living in the area of the Germanna Colonies and I have heard of the connection to the Fishback family. I think that story came thru Henry's family line. Josiah's father was James Dodd. Don't know where he was from or what his ethnic mix was.

From what you have posted you are from the Agustus and Amanda Thomas family. How are you connected? My greatgrandmother was Jane Thomas.
