Dear Selma, The mention of the Revolutionary War was a mistake, at least as it was printed. My original text indicated that some of John Archer's descendants fought in the RW (they were free blacks) but somehow in the editing process a few words were deleted to make a perfect fit, but unfortunately changed the meaning of a small part of that opening paragraph.
