Hello fellow genealogists, Stuck again I am Looking for my Ack family .My gggreat grandfather John Ack lived in Virginia Prince George.Eary records state he was born in Delaware abt 1833. I have found that this was the only Ack family in Virginia stating in 1870 I have been blessed with alot of help and advise. A kind woman did lookups for me at the Delaware Historical Society what she found on the 1782 tax and census cd was Ack no last name LitCrk 250 NeedhamsNNR She said He may have been a slave of the Needham family. Now I'm really stuck! how can I trace this Ack? I don't see alot of information concerning african americans in Delaware in my library in Ohio I am waiting for them to get a copy of Paul's book on Free African Americans in Delaware and Maryland any advise or information at this point would be great Thanks and God Bless
