a distant cousin of mine told me about the story of the free woman Celeste whose freedom was threatened by the children of her former owner. Thought it was very interesting. Their grandson, Jean Louis MALVEAU married the sister of my gg grandfather, Aristide SAM. Her name was Sydonie SAM. I've got MALVEAUX cousins on both sides of my dads family.
